This project redefines the clinical environment through a calm, sensory-aware design language tailored for neurodiverse users. The space is conceived as a sequence of soft transitions rather than rigid zones, where curved geometries and fluid ceiling elements create a sense of continuity and orientation. A muted palette of warm neutrals and desaturated pink tones establishes a reassuring atmosphere, while indirect lighting and acoustic ceiling features reduce overstimulation and enhance comfort. The reception and waiting areas feel approachable and human-centered, avoiding institutional rigidity in favor of a welcoming, almost residential character.
Materiality plays a critical role in balancing tactility and visual clarity. Natural wood surfaces introduce warmth and familiarity, complemented by soft textiles and rounded furniture that eliminate sharp edges and promote safety. Acoustic wall panels and ceiling installations are carefully integrated to manage sound levels, while biophilic elements such as greenery add a calming, grounding presence. In the children’s therapy rooms, playful yet controlled design elements encourage engagement without overwhelming the senses, using structured storage, soft forms, and gentle contrasts. The result is a holistic environment that supports focus, emotional regulation, and wellbeing through thoughtful spatial and sensory design.
